Hofbräuhaus Buffalo transports diners to Bavaria with its authentic German cuisine, vibrant atmosphere, and warm hospitality. Located at 190 Scott St, this restaurant has garnered rave reviews for its commitment to quality and tradition. Guests have praised dishes like the Bavarian Potato Soup, a creamy delight that pairs well with the restaurant's delightful cheese platter—a standout at $16. The Wurstplatte, echoing nostalgic childhood meals, has also won over patrons, with one reviewer noting it as the best he’s had in years. The ambiance, enhanced by live music, creates an inviting setting perfect for both casual gatherings and festive occasions. Diners can enjoy a variety of salads such as the Chicken Schnitzel Salad, praised for its crispy breaded chicken, or the hearty Pork Sausage Sandwich, which features a giant bratwurst encased in French bread. Customers frequently highlight the exceptional service and overall value. Whether indulging in a giant pretzel or concluding a meal with a delectable apple strudel, guests leave with a sense of satisfaction and a longing to return. Hofbräuhaus Buffalo not only serves food but also cultivates a genuine German dining experience, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area.

Much improved since previous visits. Food was spot on and delicious. Everyone in our nine person party loved their food. The service was excellent. Great brass brand while we were there. Look forward to returning!

First time visiting yesterday...food was 10/10, Reuben was phenomenal and the Wurstplatte was the closest to my mom’s cooking as a kid. Will certainly be back!

I feel like I’m in Germany- the food is that authentic and DELICIOUS! We had the Large Pretzel and Bavarian Potato Soup as appetizers and they were fantastic. And even though we were there for lunch, the chef was kind enough to make us a traditional Schnitzel and German Potato Salad since it’s only on the dinner menu. We felt like we were back in Germany! It was perfect. And the Apple Strudel a la Mode was the best I’ve ever had! Our server was lovely, helpful and prompt. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The place is HUGE! It looks like a great time during a ball game and especially during Oktoberfest! We don’t drink, but lots of folks around us were having a beer and they have a Steinmaster Club where you can leave your Beer Stein here under lock and key! Definitely a great meal in Buffalo!!!

Had to take my German partner to the biergarten during his stay. We shared a plate and he found it to be representative of a similar dish at home with slight variations to preference. I thought it to be filling and delightful. The dark dough ball had a flavor he was largely unfamiliar with so he was confused by this though. Ironically his foreign card declined in the mobile reader and needed to be ran at the register to function. Our server shared a great laugh about it with us. We arrived as an old band of merry men were setting up equipment but I’m sure the live music is quite fun. He laughed at the staff dress code and the silly dance hall tracks but found it to be in good fun and not offensive.

Had an awesome time at Hofbrauhaus Buffalo! The atmosphere is super lively and fun—feels like you’re at a year-round Oktoberfest. The food was delicious (definitely try the schnitzel and pretzels), and the beer is brewed in-house and tastes amazing. Staff were friendly ( Alisha was an awesome server) and dressed in traditional outfits, which added to the vibe. Great place to go with friends or family for a fun night out. Highly recommend!

Fun place to spend the afternoon !! the appetizers and deserts were perfect !! The Band was outstanding. They played the traditional stuff like it was in Germany while mixing in some local polkas and ballads. The schnitzel’s were good but a little overcooked. Overall, it was a great time !!

This place is a gem. If beer, polka and busy atmosphere is not your thing - I wouldn’t go. The staff is incredibly friendly, dressed in dirndl and lederhosen, carrying 1L glasses to throughout the beer hall. I was there mid day on a Saturday, so it was not fully packed but they had a live seven piece band which had everyone signing or cheering. I was told that their evenings get pretty rambunctious, sounds like a great night with the right crew.
